How to be a Good Student in ELA (By Cameron, 12 yrs old)
Most people say that Ela, or English-Language-Arts, can be a very hard subject in school. They are right. It can be a very hard subject, but if you stick to the rules I’m about to tell you, you can be an excellent student in English.
Rule 1: Always pay attention in class. If you pay attention in class, you won’t have to study that much. Rule 2: Always study for at least five days prior to a test or exam. This will make it easier to take the test, and ace it. Rule 3: Always make graphic organizers for books and tests. This will make it easier to write, because everything you need is already on paper. Rule 4: Always read and practice spelling. If you read, your grammar skills will improve. Also, if you practice spelling, you can get better grades and even get into a spelling bee. Rule 5: Always ask questions if you don’t understand anything. Asking questions can help you get good grades and will help you understand a lot of things.
If you follow these rules, you will defiantly start to see great improvement in your Ela grades.
