Spore Galactic Adventures (Spore Expansion Pack) The Good
Spore Galactic Adventures, rated E10+, is an ad-on to the original Spore. This means you can only play this game if you have the original spore. It works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and MAC. Spore Galactic Adventures was released June 23, 2009.
This new game is packed with creative tools, but it’s your job to use them in a creative way. I found that if you try something you would think could never work is a great way to unlock your creativity. (That and being impulsive when creating something.)
Some creative tools are the Adventure Creator, Captain Editor, and Planet Editor. The Adventure creator lets you create your own missions. You can add acts, set goals for your captain, place music, and place game play object like a teleported or mine bombs. The Planet Editor allows you to change your selected planet. You can make it an icy wasteland or a tropical paradise. You can raise the water leave and add mountains. The Captain Editor lets you add new accessories to your captain so he can defeat any opponent or befriend any king. Don’t worry, if this all sounds confusing, but you want the game, you should get the game. It will get much easier as you play.
Because this is an add- on, I will say some things about the original game. Spore allows the player to start off as a single celled creator, but that is only the first stage. You can then go to dry land as a multi-celled creator, become a tribe, enter civilization, and finally become a space civilization. (by tribal stage you are controlling a whole species) If you have Galactic Edition, you can ask other civilizations for mission were you beam down on planets and complete it.
In all, I would give Spore Galactic Adventures an A. A Game Review By Darian R |
